AFRC/A1 announced Aug. 28 that AROWS-R continues to experience accessibility issues for Individual Reservists (IRs).

This AROWS-R accessibility issue impacts both Traditional Reservists and IRs who are unable to use Desktop Anywhere or VPN to access the site.

Users encounter these issues when attempting to access the system on personal devices via commercial Internet Service Providers (i.e. .com) and non-Air Force networks.

The following methods are still available to access AROWS-R:
  1. Desktop Anywhere (DA)
  2. USAF VPN
  3. JRSS VPN
  4. NIPR-connected computer on an Air Force network
If you don’t have access to a government computer, consider downloading Desktop Anywhere to your personal computer.  Desktop Anywhere is a program available to Air Force members, who have AFNET accounts.  You can find links to the Desktop Anywhere installation guide HERE and an AFNET reactivation account guide HERE.

If you normally use the “AROWS-R passthrough” on your personal computer to reach UTAPS, please note that feature is currently unavailable as well, unless using the above methods.

If you experience issues with the alternative ways to access AROWS-R, here are some workarounds:
  • To obtain a copy of your orders, reopen your orders request case in myFSS and request a copy. Link HERE.
  • To submit orders for pay, have your supervisor sign your orders (either digital or wet) and submit them for processing through myFSS. Use the RPO Request link HERE.
  • If you need to have IDTs scheduled, approved, deleted, or any other UTAPS-related issues, contact your UTAPS-assigned supervisor.  He/she can do everything you can do in UTAPS, including signing you in for work and sending days to pay.  If your supervisor needs assistance, contact the UTAPS Support Cell at ARPC.IMAUTAPS.SupportCell@us.af.mil
  • You can also generate pay for IDTs by downloading and completing a 40A form, obtaining all three signatures, and submitting your signed 40A through the myFSS RPO Request link HERE.
The AROWS-R team is aware and working the issue; however, they could not provide an estimated completion date.
