HQ RIO is broadening its reach to better support Individual Reservists and external stakeholders by expanding participation in its upcoming virtual Individual Reservists Orientation (vIRO), scheduled for May 7-9, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Mountain Daylight Time.
Originally designed for Individual Mobilization Augmentees and Participating Individual Ready Reservists new to the program, the vIRO now welcomes active-duty supervisors, Unit Reserve Coordinators, and Reserve Advisors. This inclusive approach aims to create a stronger, more informed support network, fostering collaboration and understanding across all stakeholders.
The vIRO will cover crucial topics such as orders, travel, pay, and achieving a good year of service, providing attendees with the tools and knowledge necessary to navigate the intricacies of the IR program. This expansion underscores HQ RIO's commitment to taking care of IRs and active-duty organizations involving with the IR program.
While attendance isn't mandatory, HQ RIO strongly encourages all IRs, regardless of experience level, to participate. This is a prime opportunity to connect with peers, learn from experts, and stay ahead of important changes.
Telework IDTs (paid or points only) are authorized for the vIRO. No registration is required. The agenda will be available by May 5, 2025.
