DEALING WITH LEGACY EVALUATIONS
Evaluations with a close out year of 2022 or earlier are considered “legacy evaluations.” There is new guidance out that provides direction for your active component MPF to properly finalize those evaluations. The guidance can be found of the HQ RIO website HERE.
NEW GUIDANCE ASSISTS IMAS TRAVELING WITH DEPENDENTS
We know that some of you travel for AT and IDTs with dependents and often struggle finding accommodations on base that are suitable. This MEMO is now on the HQ RIO website and provides justification for lodging managers to do their best to accommodate your dependents while on official travel.
BE ADVISED – SOME MEMBERS GOT DOUBLE TRAVEL PAYMENTS – REVERSALS COMING
On/about 14 Jul 2023, DFAS released a duplicative disbursement primarily for RTS and DTS voucher payments. This means that some members received a double reimbursement to their bank accounts. Reversing these transactions is in work by DFAS. DFAS has requested that any member who received duplicate payments leave the funds in their accounts to allow reversals to be completed.
THE FY 24 UTAPS CALENDAR IS NOW AVAILABLE – PUT YOUR DATES IN BEFORE 15 AUG
Each year IMAs must input their 24 or 48 IDTS into UTAPS by 15 Aug for the upcoming FY. This data is used by AFRC for budgeting purposes. If you know your dates, that’s great! If you’re not sure, simply build them at the end of the FY as a placeholder. You can always change them later. You must input all 24 or 48 IDT periods before hitting SUBMIT. When you do this, the system will send your supervisor an automated email prompting them to approve the dates. When you submit, the dates will turn yellow on the UTAPS calendar. If you want the option to move them later, ask your supervisor to hold off on approving them. That way they’re easier to change later -- submitting them (yellow) fulfills the requirement for AFRC budgeting. If you need a refresher, HERE is a quick guide on building your UTAPS calendar. If you run into issues, contact the UTAPS Support Cell. They can assist.

Col Edward “Chad” Segura
