NORFOLK, Va. (Feb. 25, 2025) Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD 5) Security Forces conducts an Anti-Terrorism Force Protection drill on the ship’s quarterdeck to ensure the ship’s mission-readiness for ship penetration and proper safeguards against evolving threats, Feb. 25. Bataan conducted this drill to prevent unauthorized access to the ship. Bataan is currently undergoing regularly scheduled repairs in the General Dynamics National Steel and Shipbuilding Company (NASSCO) shipyards.
