Chief Master Sergeant Cary L. Mueller CMSgt Cary L. Mueller serves as the Group Senior Enlisted Leader for Headquarters Readiness and Integration Organization (HQ RIO), Buckley Space Force Base (SFB), Colorado. Chief Mueller advises on all matters affecting operations, training, readiness, health, morale, welfare and discipline. He is responsible for the development, integration, and implementation of strategies supporting Individual Mobilized Augmentee (IMA) personnel and policies affecting 143 Active Guard Reservists, civilian, and contractors. He provides advisement, direct oversight, and support to over 7,800 IMAs and Participating Individual Ready Reservists to provide combat-ready Airmen to active Component Commanders across 53 separate organizations, which include all Major Commands, Combatant Commands, and various government agencies. CMSgt Mueller is a 2002 graduate of the University of Houston and hails from Houston, Texas. He enlisted in the United States Air Force (USAF) in March 2003 as an Airborne Cryptologic Linguist. He retrained as a Geospatial Intelligence Analyst in July of 2011, and in June of 2014, he transferred to the Air Force Reserve in the same capacity. During his 24-year career, CMSgt Mueller has deployed with the RC-135, RIVET JOINT, in support of multiple operations and has served as an intelligence professional in support of Operations ENDURING FREEDOM, IRAQI FREEDOM, INHERENT RESOLVE, FREEDOM’S SENTINEL, ABSOLUTE RESOLVE, MIDNIGHT HAMMER, and EPIC FURY. He has flown as enlisted aircrew on more than 25 combat sorties and provided vital intelligence for more than 1,000 missions. Additionally, Chief Mueller was a Mission Planner for the U-2 DRAGONLADY, planning over 200 reconnaissance missions.
