RIO Buzz Vol. 20
Welcome to 2021! I look forward to continuing to work with each of you to make it easier to serve and put the right information in your hands so you can do your part to stay ready and serve the organizations where you are assigned.
The latest Buzz:
IR OF THE YEAR SUBMISSIONS DUE TO DETS BY 15 FEB
Each year we like to honor those who really go above and beyond in the IR community. Click here (https://www.arpc.afrc.af.mil/News/Article-Display/Article/2439024/nominations-for-outstanding-ir-of-the-year-accepted-until-feb-15) to read the full announcement for the 2020 IR of the Year nominations which will be due to your servicing detachments by 15 Feb 2021.
MAKE SURE YOUR IMR IS GREEN TO GO!
Your readiness should be your #1 priority as we kick of 2021. Have you gotten your flu shot? How about dental? Remember, a civilian dental Form 2813 works this year for those who were red for military dental. Be sure to check our IMR At-a-Glance (https://www.arpc.afrc.af.mil/Portals/4/DRIO/IR Guide-Quick Guides/IMR At-a-Glance.pdf) for help accomplishing your medical readiness appointments and submitting the documentation. It’s your responsibility to stay current and it is part of the obligation you have when you agreed to become an IR. You can be denied orders and even IDTs if you are red on your readiness and this is something the Detachment Commanders and I are focused on.
REMINDER: SHORT TOURS HAVE TO BE CERTIFIED IN AROWS-R
Don’t forget that ALL orders of 29 or fewer days must be certified using the AROWS-R Tour of Duty Certification (TODC). You can no longer use myPers to submit those short tour orders for pay. The good news is that it is easy and gets you paid faster than before. Need assistance? Check out the AROWS-R TODC Quick Guide (https://www.arpc.afrc.af.mil/Portals/4/AROWS-R TODC Quick Guide.pdf).
CHIEF DT AND SCREENING BOARD SCHEDULED FOR 22-26 MARCH
The CY21 E-9 Developmental Team and Command Chief Master Sergeant Screening Board will convene 22-26 March 2021. The ARPC suspense for applications is 21 Feb. It’s important to know that the process has changed from prior years. The developmental plans are being done in MyVECTOR, not vPC. Click here (https://mypers.af.mil/cgi-bin/gum.cfg/php/ma/fattach_get.php?1=AvMw%7EwpyDv8S%7Exb%7EGv9M%7EyKCNtUqeKX7UlmvVj7%7EPv9m&2=169326217&) for the full announcement.
That’s the buzz for now. Thanks for ALL you do and Happy New Year!
v/r,
Col Amy Boehle, HQ RIO Commander
