Just a reminder to make sure you’ve entered a good personal and .mil email for yourself in vMPF.  You’ll also find it very helpful (if you haven’t already) to download the RIO Connect phone app and join your detachment group.  It’s a great way to get questions answered.  More info can be found HERE.  Now, the Buzz:

REQUEST YOUR CURRENT FY AT ORDERS NOW – WORKAROUND FOR MYFSS ISSUES

Each year there is a suspense for all IMAs to input their AT orders request (now in myFSS) by the end of May.  This allows HQ RIO to obligate the funding for these orders.  If you’ve not yet requested your AT orders, please do so ASAP.  We are aware that some IRs are experiencing the “unhandled fault” when attempting to submit via the myFSS Orders Request link.   If this happens to you, fill out this Orders Request Worksheet and submit it via myFSS to the HQRIO Request link, general queue.

TODC CONTINUES TO BE PROBLEMATIC – WHAT TO DO

For those who need to certify short tours, the preferred method is the automated TODC within AROWS-R.  However, there are still issues with the email notifications.  To ensure prompt processing, I recommend you follow these steps.

  1. Attempt TODC using your own personal or .mil email instead of your supervisor. If it arrives, simply forward that email so the supervisor can use the link to certify your orders.
  2. If you don’t receive the email, you and your supervisor will need to wet sign/digitally sign the orders. Then submit them via myFSS to the RPO Request link.  Our technicians will process the certification manually for pay.

MEDICAL READINESS ASSISTANCE

Last week an email was sent with detailed information on assisting IRs with their medical readiness, including timelines for PHA/MHA, scheduling, dental forms, and more.  The message can be found HERE.  Please use the HQ RIO website to find needed information on staying ready.

ROUTING OF RETIREMENT PACKAGES

With the new myFSS application for retirements, the first coordination after the member initiates is the Retention Office Manager/Talent Management Consultant. Unfortunately, there is not a Talent Management Consultant role in myFSS, so instead IRs will need to input the name of the HQ RIO TMC, MSgt Russell Clayton-Cornell.  (Note that myFSS and hyphens don’t mix, so search “Russell Clayton Cornell or use his email: russell.clayton_cornell.1@us.af.mil.)

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS

Due to the recent security incident, all AFRC members currently read-in to SCI need to ensure currency of (1) SCI refresher and (2) Unauthorized Disclosure training.  This effort is directly in line with the Undersecretary of the Air Force signed memorandum directing a Security Focused Standdown to immediately reassess our security posture and procedures to safeguard information and enforce security requirements.  Furthermore, this training is required per DoDM 5105.21 vol 3, Enclosure 6 to maintain access to SCI.

Please verify the status of your security training requirements in MyLearning or ARCNet.

The training can be found on myLearning:
