Our appropriations are good through 30 SEP 2026, so get those AT orders in! Please review the information below for important reminders and guidance.
Defense Travel System (DTS) System Issue: Budget Errors
There is a known issue within DTS that is generating budget errors on some travel records. We are working directly with the DTS system administrators to resolve the issue.
Bottom Line: These error messages are a system glitch and will require you to resubmit your travel authorizations.
Required Action: You can check your booking status with this link: https://www.travel.dod.mil/Support/Travel-Assistance-Center/. If your travel successfully booked, disregard the error messages. If your travel is not booked due to the errors, you will need to resubmit your travel authorizations once the issue has been resolved.
Urgent Request: If you are traveling within three business days with DTS authorization not yet approved, please submit a myFSS case under “AFR IMA HQ RIO REQUEST.” In the body of the request, clearly state “Urgent.”
Unpaid Orders & Unpaid Travel
If you have received an email stating you have you have unpaid orders or unpaid travel you need to submit a myFSS ticket.
Required Action: If you were paid out. Submit a myFSS ticket stating that your orders or travel was paid out so your ticket will be closed.
If you believe you were not paid out, submit a ticket stating that you still need to be reimbursed.
Personal Fitness Assessment (PFA) Update
Retesting under old programs is still available for IRs through 28 FEB 2026. Even if you are current but want a higher score for your OPB/EPB, you can retest until 28 FEB 2026.
Reserve School Selection Board (RSSB) Update
The RSSB competitively selects Reserve officers to attend short developmental education, professional development, and joint in-residence courses.
The CY26 RSSB has been rescheduled for 2 - 6 MAR 2026. There is no impact to the members meeting the board.
As a reminder, effective CY26, the previously separate A and B RSSB have been consolidated into a single, unified board encompassing all short and hybrid courses. This change streamlines the application process, minimizes confusion as to which board to apply for, and prevents the need for additional applications across separate RSSBs. With only one RSSB, board members and leadership need to ensure applications are complete by required timelines to avoid waiting until the following year to re-apply. Remaining FY26 Virtual Individual Reservist Orientation (vIRO) dates:
The vIRO is a valuable opportunity for Reservists to gain essential knowledge, insights, and tools to navigate and manage their careers effectively. The vIRO will cover crucial topics such as pay, orders, travel, and achieving a good year of service, providing attendees with the tools and knowledge necessary to navigate the intricacies of the IR program.

ACTION REQUIRED: Complete Your BAH Recertification by 1 JUL 2026
All Individual Reservists (IRs) are required to recertify their BAH status, including those who are single and do not claim dependents. Fill out DAF Form 594 (ensure you are using the 20221207 version).

Annual Tour (AT) Orders Deadline
The deadline for submitting AT orders requests for FY26 is 31 MAY 26. To ensure timely processing and funding, we strongly recommend submitting your requests as soon as possible. Please note that submitting requests after the deadline does not guarantee funding availability, and late requests may not be executable. If you are uncertain about the exact dates, you can submit your AT request with your best estimate and modify the dates at a later time.
