The RIO Buzz Vol 79
First things first, we anticipate that a continuing resolution (CR) will go into effect on October 1, 2024. Our team is working hard to ensure that everything runs smoothly. We encourage everyone to continue with their spending and budgeting for FY25 and to keep submitting your AT and RPA requests. However, if anything changes, we'll be sure to let you know via email or through the RIO Buzz.
Last week, we held our quarterly IR All Call, and we wanted to share some important updates with you. We've posted the video, briefing, and Q&A on the RIO Portal/website, so be sure to check it out at your convenience.

Now the Buzz …
AROWS-R is back
Access to AROWS-R via personal computers was down since early August, but it’s now back. You’ll find the login is now different since the system changed to a CAC and/OKTA (non-CAC) login similar to myFSS. It might take a few tries to get in, but it does work. Any future possible outages or issues with AROWS-R will be communicated to the field.
Closing out FY24 – Long-term orders & outstanding orders/vouchers
Our focus is on closing out FY24 and preparing for FY25. Closing out FY24 means certifying your long-term orders and submitting them for pay. If you haven't done so already, please make sure to certify your orders and submit them for pay on the last day of the orders. Pay submission instructions HERE. We currently have over $30 million dollars in outstanding vouchers and orders, so there's a lot of money at stake. If you received an email about an unpaid voucher or order, please make sure to read and follow the instructions in the email.
To wrap up the current fiscal year (FY24) and initiate the new one (FY25), accounting systems will be temporarily offline during the first week of October. Although this system downtime won't impact RIO's capacity to manage and process pay, entitlements, and vouchers, there might be a delay of up to two weeks in receiving payments or reimbursements to your accounts. This delay is due to the accounting system outage, which could potentially disrupt DFAS transactions.
Launching new videos just for you!
In other news, we're excited to announce the launch of a new video - IR Battle Rhythm! This video is designed to help you plan your FY and R/R participation schedule to help you get the best bang for your buck. We've also launched three DTS videos and a Sweet Spot video for AT/IDT planning over the last few months. We're currently working on Formal School videos, so stay tuned for more updates.
Announcements – RPA opportunity
We also have an announcement for a long-term RPA opportunity to provide executive support in the National Capitol Region for E-5 to E-7 individuals. Interested applicants should be familiar with UTAPS, myFSS, and AROWS-R. Familiarity with DTS is also desired.
