Over the weekend, the President signed a government funding bill. Our government is funded through 14 March 2025. It is business as usual for HQ RIO. However, in light of the new CR, please make sure to plan your IDTs and AT accordingly.

We recently hosted a great IR All Call on 13 Dec 24. For those who were unable to attend, we encourage you to review the brief, recording, and Q&A session available HERE. The information shared is particularly valuable, as it includes updates on part-time billets in the Space Force and an overview of the IR Strategic Alignment.

As the holiday season approaches, we acknowledge that some of you may be facing increased financial burdens and stress. We want to assure you that support is available. Military OneSource provides a range of resources, including free non-medical counseling and budgeting classes, to help alleviate some of this pressure. Additionally, some bases offer access to personal financial counselors at no cost through their Military & Family Readiness Center (M&FRC).

We also recognize that for some, the holiday season can be a time of mental and emotional struggle. If you or your loved one is grappling with crisis or distress, please know that you are not alone. The Veterans Crisis Line is available 24/7, offering confidential support and connection. You can reach someone by calling 988, then pressing 1, chatting online, or texting 838255.

As we navigate this holiday season, I offer my sincerest wishes for your well-being and resilience.

Please note the following items of importance:

· Overdue Flu Shots and CAFR TASKORD Acknowledgement: No new orders will be cut until these requirements are met. Send your Detachment a message via myFSS to acknowledge the TASKORD. You can submit your flu shot documentation to RIO Medical via myFSS.

· MILPDS System Downtime: The system will be unavailable from December 26, 2024, to January 2, 2025, but necessary actions can be backdated.

· Leave Process Update: Leave requests may be delayed, but you can still take leave if your paperwork is complete and approved without having a leave authorization number. Refer to our quick guide HERE for help.

· Retirement Certificates: ARPC is out of stock, but a new shipment is expected in mid-January 2025. Use mock certificates on myFSS if needed HERE.
