The Non-EAD (Extended Active Duty) Airman Commissioning Program is designed to commission the highest qualified enlisted Airmen to fill valid non-line and line officer IMA vacancies. Airmen who have obtained a qualifying college degree and are 40 years of age or younger may pursue an Air Force Reserve commission.
Please review the Non-EAD ACP Policy below for an outline of the process and FY25 milestones.

Knowledge Detail
It is highly recommended that you seek a mentor for guidance and support regarding the commissioned officer corps.
The Application
The
ARPC Initial LAF Commission Checklist must be completed in its entirety and submitted with the Interview Evaluation Sheet. Please contact your detachment for more information or to apply.
The Board
To ensure quality candidates are being nominated for the IMA Non-EAD ACP, a board interview process is in effect. The Board will consist of non-bias voting members from across HQ RIO and RIO Detachment leadership. The HQ RIO Group Senior Enlisted Leader is the board president and will schedule interviews. This board process allows IMA program leadership an opportunity to evaluate applicants and ensure the member is the best fit to serve the Active Component in their IMA position and the AF Reserve as a commissioned officer.
**COMPLETING THE NON-EAD ACP APPLICATION IS TIME CONSUMING! DO NOT WAIT UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE. PLEASE COORDINATE WITH YOUR SUPERVISOR/MENTOR TO HELP YOU COMPLETE IT BEFORE THE DEADLINE.**
